Scuba Anyone ... Diving StoriesMy First Wreck DiveHi to all divers I would just like to share my views on my first wreck dive to the Stangarth at Stoney Cove in Leicester. This was to be the 2nd dive of the day the whether was reasonably good which threw a bit of light into the water we swam over to the buoy where we had to do a line descent and this was to be my first' so I descended down with the instructor Bob Smith and I must say I found this quite a comfortable thing to do then the vis started to get a bit better I could see the stern of the Stangarth at around 8 to 10mtrs. I could then see my co-divers sitting on the stern of the Stangarth waiting for me then I touched down I felt like Neil Armstrong when he landed on the moon laugh you may! but this is what is was thinking I was now at 18mtrs big OKs where sent around us all Shook hands with my mate and my diving buddy Scott who was being instructed by another instructor Sallie. Bob signalled that we will now dive around the wreck so over the side we went now I have hit 19.5 metres computer was flashing cos I have gone over the 18mtr mark then we got back to the stern, time to come up the line which I thought was great being in everyone’s bubbles what an experience it was like being in a Jacuzzi.
