Tambatu

A large island situated on the North West coast of Zanzibar, offering various dive points along its western shores. The dives are normally based between 4 – 20m. on this long reef, with beautiful and colourful corals, fans and sponges.

Many blue spotted rays hiding under coral ledges, frog fishes, nudibranches morays and ribbon eels can be found on the coral. Groupers, turtles, leaf fish and scorpion also inhabit this large reef.

The area is currently under consideration to become a designated Marine Park.
