Kuda Miarua Thila

Only 25 minutes away from the Athuruga's pier, heading east-south-east, a hundred meters beyond a large “giri”, which is a round reef coming up from the deep sea almost to surface. "Kuda Miaru" in the local language means "small shark"”. And here you should be able to see them

The upper part of the thila at 8 meters depth where, between three large coral pyramids, there are hundreds of small triggerfish, some small nurse sharks, scorpion fish in disguise in the middle of the branches of the corals and even a stone fish hidden into the hard coral formations.

Compared to many other dive sites in the area Kuda Miaru Thila offers an incredible amount of different sizes of fish to observe.
